Objective
The project focuses on the research and development of innovative protein-based filling agents and markers derived from protein fractions recovered from waste generated by the leather industry, such as collagen and gelatin, as well as from the dairy industry, namely whey. It also includes the development of processes to incorporate these materials into leather to minimise defects and enable traceability while preserving the material's natural appearance and technical performance.
