CTIC Participates in a Demonstration Session on the Results of the BioShoes4All Project

CTIC attended the session presenting the final results of the BioShoes4All project, which took place on July 22 in Felgueiras and brought together companies, technology centers, universities, and public entities involved in what is considered the largest collaborative initiative ever undertaken by the footwear sector in the areas of the bioeconomy, sustainability, and industrial innovation.

As a consortium partner, CTIC attended the presentation of the key results achieved over more than four years of collaborative work. Funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), BioShoes4All involved 69 partners and a total investment of 60 million euros, contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for the Portuguese footwear industry.

Among the results presented, highlights include the development of new biomaterials, circular economy solutions, products with a smaller environmental footprint, and technologies related to digitalization and smart factories. The project also strengthened the link between research and industry, promoting the competitiveness and innovation capacity of the Portuguese footwear cluster.

CTIC’s participation in this session reinforces its commitment to promoting innovation, sustainability, and knowledge transfer to companies in the sector, contributing to the development of a more competitive industry that is prepared for the challenges of the future.
